The file that comes back
Your manifest, validated
Same file, same format, back in seconds. Your operator opens it and looks only at what's highlighted.

What it checks
Every field, every row
HS codes
Allocates and corrects codes from attributes; identifies whether an item suits an H7 or H1 declaration.
Item descriptions
Validates whether a description is meaningful enough to classify, and standardises it to meet customs requirements.
Prohibited, restricted, and excise goods
Detected and flagged before the file leaves your hands. Never auto-corrected.
The 150 EUR threshold
Items above the threshold identified, including combined orders shipped as one parcel — so they can be split out where your broker requires a separate manifest.
Mandatory fields
Contact details, AWB numbers, consignee data, weights, values. Missing or zero values flagged.
Each company can define its own validation rules on top of these.
How files come in
Whatever format you work in
Already in your broker's template?
Upload it in the portal, or send it by API. Riskita detects which broker template you're using and checks the data against both customs rules and that broker's own requirements — mandatory fields, field lengths, format rules. The same file format comes back, corrected and flagged.
Working from your own internal format?
TMS, WMS, ERP, or an in-house system. Select the destination broker's template, and Riskita converts the file and validates the data in the same pass — so it comes back already formatted, with corrections applied. No copy-pasting between spreadsheets.
If your broker's template isn't already in the platform, send us the one you work with today and we map it. After that, the platform detects which broker template you're using.
Common questions
The description, the attributes, the code you sent and the applicable rules are weighed against each other. Where they point to a different code, the correction is applied and marked. Where they don't agree clearly enough to decide, the inconsistency is flagged for review instead. Restricted or prohibited goods are always flagged, never corrected.
It depends on what else the row gives us. Where the HS code is valid, Riskita works from the code and allocates the correct description. Where the code is invalid and there's no usable description, there's nothing to classify from — so the row is flagged for review rather than filled with a guess.
No. By the time a file reaches us the labels are usually already on the parcels, so an address correction would arrive too late to be useful. What we do check is whether address, name, street, city and country-code fields exceed the character limits your destination allows — the errors that get a file rejected on upload rather than at the door.
Two ways. The customer portal needs no integration work and is the quickest way to start, which suits smaller teams. An API connection is available when you'd rather the validation sit inside your own flow.
Yes. Beyond the standard checks, rules are configured or developed to your requirements — which starts with understanding how your process actually runs, not with a settings page.
Often none at all. Many broker templates are already in the platform — if yours is one of them, you can start straight away. If it isn't, mapping takes one to two working days.
Pricing is tiered by the volume you ship each month. Tell us roughly what that looks like and we'll give you a number on the call.
